Active Schools

Active Schools creates opportunities for children and young people to participate in sport and physical activity before and after school, during lunch time and at weekends.

Active Communities

Our programme provides opportunities for anyone to get active! Our fantastic coaching team delivery a range of sports and physical activity sessions across our communities. Sessions are fun, sociable and a great way to keep active improve health.

There are many reasons to volunteer in sport – volunteers make sport happen and create the next generation of sporting stars.  You could be giving back but you’ll also be helping make sport happen, without people like you, sport would not work!

Community Sports Hub

Community Sport Hubs (CSH’s) brings together sport clubs and key local partners who want to develop and grow the sporting offering in the community. They focus on sustainable, community-led approaches that get clubs working together to develop welcoming, safe and fun environments for sport.

Supporting our communities to explore the great outdoors

Dolphin House has been offering memorable residential visits for over 20 years. Our programmes give young people the opportunity to develop a wide range of skills through taking part in outdoor activities.

Our stunning location within Culzean Castle and Country Park is the perfect location to explore the great outdoors and combined with our have a highly skilled and experienced team ensures your child make the most of their visit.

We foster awareness, understanding and respect for the natural environment while promoting the concepts of exploration and sustainability.

Duke of Edinburgh’s Awards

14-24 year-olds can do a DofE programme at one of three progressive levels which, when successfully completed, leads to a Bronze, Silver or Gold Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. There are four sections to complete at Bronze and Silver level and five at Gold. They involve helping the community/environment, becoming fitter, developing new skills, planning, training for and completing an expedition and, for Gold only, working with a team on a residential activity.

Within the authority our team work closely with staff and pupils in schools, workplaces and youth centres to offer the award to young people!
