Problem Solving – youth disorder/anti-social behaviour
Thriving Communities Community Safety is using a problem solving approach to tackle youth disorder throughout South Ayrshire. This includes seasonal action plans in partnership with CLD colleagues and Police Scotland.
We have also use our problem solving process to tackle issues such as off road vehicle nuisance and fire raising in hot spot areas.
Problem Solving – environmental
Thriving Communities Community Safety is using a problem solving approach to tackle environmental issues throughout South Ayrshire. We work in partnership with colleagues including Waste Management and Environmental Heath to develop targeted approaches to tackling issues such as dog fouling, littering and fly tipping.
We also engage in positive environmental initiatives with communities to improve green space, and improve unsightly areas.
Re-deplyable CCTV
Thriving Communities Community Safety is responsible for the administration and use of 10 re-deployable CCTV cameras.
Partners may request re-deployable CCTV cameras in response to particular antisocial behaviour, criminal or environmental issues within the community.
A multi-agency group meet quarterly to decide the most appropriate deployments for cameras.
